Why plan truck loads with software?
Most dispatch teams still plan loads from experience, a whiteboard or a spreadsheet. That works until a truck leaves with space to spare, an overloaded drive axle, or a pallet that will not fit at the tailgate. Each of those costs money: an extra truck, a re-work at the dock, or a compliance problem on the road.
Truck load planning software does the geometry and the weight maths for you. TRUXE checks every placement against the deck dimensions, the vehicle's weight limit, stacking rules and axle group limits, so the plan you print is one that actually loads.
What TRUXE does
- Optimised placement of pallets, boxes, crates, drums, IBCs, coils, pipes, bundles and oversized items, each with its own stacking rules
- Axle group weight checks so you can see before dispatch whether each axle group is inside its limit
- Load restraint and lashing plan, plus a glut and dunnage plan, for every load
- Interactive 3D view from isometric, front, side and rear angles
- Multi-truck planning: split a large order across a fleet and see which truck carries what
- Multi-drop consignments loaded in unload order, so the first stop comes off first
- PDF load reports and Excel manifests you can email or attach to dispatch paperwork
Built around Australian vehicles
TRUXE ships with more than 90 preset vehicles: rigid trucks from 2 to 20 tonnes, trays, tautliners, pantechs, hydraulic tailgate and crane trucks, semi-trailers, mezzanine-deck trailers, B-doubles and road trains from the NHVR combinations, and 20 ft, 40 ft and 45 ft sea containers.
If your fleet does not match a preset, enter any deck as custom dimensions with its own weight limit, including multi-trailer combinations.
How it works
- Add your products by hand, from a saved product library, or by importing a CSV or Excel file.
- Choose a vehicle from the catalogue, or let TRUXE suggest the right one for the load.
- Review the 3D plan with the weight, axle and restraint checks.
- Download the PDF report or Excel manifest and send it to the dock.
Frequently asked questions
What is truck load planning software?
Truck load planning software works out how to place freight on a truck or trailer so it fits, stays within weight and axle limits, and can be restrained safely. TRUXE produces a 3D load plan and a printable report for each load.
Does TRUXE check axle weights?
Yes. TRUXE estimates the load on each axle group from where the freight sits on the deck and flags any group that is over its limit, so you can rearrange the load before the truck leaves.
Which trucks can I plan?
More than 90 presets including rigid trucks, tautliners, pantechs, semi-trailers, mezzanine trailers, B-doubles, road trains and sea containers. You can also enter any custom deck size and weight limit.
Can I plan multiple trucks at once?
Yes. TRUXE can split a large order across several vehicles and shows exactly which items go on which truck.
Can I try TRUXE for free?
Yes. Guests can run a free plan each day, and a free account adds more daily plans plus saved history, product libraries and reports.
